When to Put a Sentence in a Paragraph
When to Put a Sentence in a ParagraphWhen to put a sentence in a paragraph is an important question when writing an essay. Many people assume that the length of a sentence should be anywhere from one to three words long. However, sentences are only words when the writer inserts them to represent the ideas he wants to convey in the essay. If you need to draw attention to a specific point, you can end your sentence with a descriptive word.In the first paragraph of your essay, you need to make sure that your point or idea is described in just one sentence. If you want to make an entire paragraph about something that you want to keep separate from your essay, keep the point in a separate paragraph. You may feel that this is less important because you want your essay to make a clear distinction from the rest of the paper. However, you need to keep this point separate from your essay because you will probably forget what it is about at the end of the essay. The second paragraph of your essa y needs to be brief and to the point. If you have lots of ideas to express, you should use them all in the first paragraph. However, when you only have one important idea to express, do not use all of your ideas in the first paragraph. It is much easier to convey an idea that is summed up in a sentence that includes the idea in the first paragraph. Remember that you do not have time to describe each idea that you have. Only when you have a concise and to the point description of your idea, will you be able to bring it out in a sentence that describes the idea.Using more than one sentence is not the most efficient way to convey a thought. Many people spend all of their time writing, only to find that their essay is very long. When to put a sentence in a paragraph also means that you should only have one sentence that presents the idea.If you have an interesting idea, it is okay to use three or four sentences to describe it. The rest of the essay should be clear about what you mean. Ho wever, you should not use all of your sentences to describe an interesting idea. This is a waste of time.It is much easier to write an essay than to write a book or a report. There are other ways to express ideas that you are unable to express through the writing of an essay.
Personal Autobiography Sample Essay - Writing an Uplifting and Memorable Work
Personal Autobiography Sample Essay - Writing an Uplifting and Memorable WorkIn my opinion, a person should consider writing a personal autobiography in a rhetorical way. One of the first things I noticed is that people who live this life and admit their faults were rarely short on courage. It is always an inspiring thing to see someone taking the time to be responsible and serious about what they have chosen to do.Many times I was told that the only source of comfort for me was knowing that the source of their confidence was a reliable source. One of the most crucial mistakes made by many people is to conclude on their own that they are the only ones who can write a biography. It's not so.Personality can play a huge role in determining the success of a writer. That's why it is vital to take the time to get a number of different ideas that you can use as a guide for writing. This is the best way to ensure that you will not be bogged down with any ideas that don't correspond to your v ision.Outline everything that you have to say, write it down, and gather all the necessary resources to complete the work. The manuscript that you will have in your hands when you finish writing will be your personal autobiography sample essay. After all, this is the exact reason why you're writing this piece.A great way to ensure that you'll achieve success in this undertaking is to write in your own voice. Don't write like everyone else. You will likely come across someone else who will disagree with you, but chances are you will be able to put your point to him or her clearly and convincingly. One of the first steps that you must take when writing a personal autobiography sample essay is to decide how long you want to write it. A typical person will likely start by writing only for a day or two. If this is the case, you may want to do some brainstorming to come up with ideas for a longer work. The basic idea behind a personal autobiography sample essay is to write a piece that you will be proud of and one that has value. Sort and Out of Sorts
Sort and Out of Sorts Sort and Out of Sorts Sort and Out of Sorts By Maeve Maddox A reader wonders if the phrase ââ¬Å"out of sortsâ⬠might be worth a post. I think it is. The OED has four separate entries for sort as a noun. The first entry, marked ââ¬Å"obsolete,â⬠defines sort as ââ¬Å"the fate or lot of a particular person or persons.â⬠The word was borrowed from French, but it derives from a Latin verb meaning ââ¬Å"to cast lots.â⬠Oneââ¬â¢s sort was oneââ¬â¢s destiny or fate. In Chaucerââ¬â¢s Canterbury Tales, the pilgrims draw straws to see who will tell the first tale. The knight wins the draw: ââ¬Å"[whether] by aventure [happenstance], or sort [fate], or cas [accident], the truth is this: the cut fell to the knight.â⬠A related word is sortilege: 1. The practice of casting lots in order to decide something or to forecast the future; divination based on this procedure or performed in some other way; sorcery, magic, witchcraft. 2. An act or instance of divining, choosing, or deciding by the drawing or casting of lots. A second meaning of sort is ââ¬Å"a measure of weight for figs and raisins,â⬠not a use likely to be encountered even by a lover of early English texts. Computing has coined a new use for sort as a noun: ââ¬Å"the action of arranging items of data in a prescribed sequence.â⬠For example, ââ¬Å"We decided to remove the umlauts before performing the sort.â⬠The most usual modern use of the noun sort is in the sense of ââ¬Å"a kind, species, or variety.â⬠The meaning of sort as a noun has evolved from ââ¬Å"what is allotted to one by fateâ⬠to such concepts as condition, rank, class, order, category, and variety. The expression ââ¬Å"out of sortsâ⬠to mean ââ¬Å"not in normal conditionâ⬠or ââ¬Å"irritable or peevishâ⬠appears frequently in the context of sports and celebrity-watching: The rehearsal went on for nearly seven hours, and the soloists were tired, hungry, and out of sorts. Madonna appears out of sorts as she leaves a Kabbala Centre with daughter Lourdes and sons Rocco and David in New York City on Friday. Beyoncà © looked a little out of sorts on Monday night as she watched the basketball game with husband Jay Z. Rory McIlroy seemed a bit out of sorts in the third round of the Barclays. Harrison Ford has a new movie on the way so hes out on the promotional trail- but it would seem he was a bit out of sorts when he was interviewed by Conan OBrien. As tends to happen with idioms, ââ¬Å"out of sortsâ⬠is sometimes misused by writers unfamiliar with its meaning, as in this sentence about the running scene in Forrest Gump from an entertainment site called Cinemablend: Actually considering the CGIà that the film used, and what it must have cost in the mid-1990s, it seems a little out of sorts that the studio would be bent out of shape over the running scene. The writer seems to be using ââ¬Å"out of sortsâ⬠to mean unusual. The phrase ââ¬Å"out of sortsâ⬠means, ââ¬Å"not in the normal condition of good health,â⬠or ââ¬Å"in a low-spirited, irritable, or peevish state.â⬠Want to improve your English in five minutes a day? Entrepreneurship. Validity of Claim in Emerging Markets and Assignment
Entrepreneurship. Validity of Claim in Emerging Markets and Stakeholder contribution in making Claim Realizable - Assignment Example The market itself has also been a focus of discussion to identify key conditions and factors that make businesses succeed on emerging markets. Getting to the later part of the series of lessons, there was focus on the role that various non-governmental agencies play in emerging markets to ensure that businesses operating in these markets experience success. As Dr. Yunu makes this all important claim of how each person is a potential entrepreneur, the various ideas developed over the weeks can be summed up in reasoning with Dr. Yunu. In this integration paper, two major issues are discussed. The first is the potential that the statement of Dr. Yunu has in becoming a reality in emerging markets, and the level to which various stakeholders have played their role in facilitating entrepreneurship and Dr. Yunuââ¬â¢s idea. Validity of Claim in Emerging Markets Generally, there has been a realization that most people who are entrepreneurs in various emerging markets, particularly in N-11 countries are not people who are world acclaimed entrepreneurs with records of setting up blooming and flourishing multinational companies around the globe. Considering various business plans, it would be noticed that most of these entrepreneurs are ordinary degree holders in various subject areas, with some kind of zeal to succeed (Dib, da Rocha and da Silva, 2010). In relation to the statement of Dr. Yunu therefore, it can be said that as far as emerging markets are concerned, there is a huge level of possibility of the claims to be reality. Having said this however, lessons from previous weeksââ¬â¢ discussions on leadership qualities would also bring in a word of caution that as much as all people would want to attempt to be entrepreneurs, it is important that efforts are made on the need to learn and acquaint oneself with key leadership and entrepreneurship skills when operating in an emerging market (Naude and Rossouw, 2010). The fact that most emerging markets are not very developed must not be a reason or a cause for entrepreneurs to overlook the kind of competition they can present their businesses with. Stakeholder contribution in making Claim Realizable The weeks gone have also been very useful in understanding the roles that governments and other stakeholders such as nongovernmental organization have to play and have been playing in various emerging markets. As far as governments are concerned, a lot have been said as criticism against their actions and efforts so far. For example, most governments in emerging markets, particularly the Brazilian government has been criticized for doing virtually nothing to too little in ensuring that the form of support it gives to young entrepreneurs, especially those coming from foreign countries are financial support (Cahn, 2008). Meanwhile, as much as the other forms of support are important and relevant, even Dr. Yunu admits that financial constraints remain the most challenging obstacle to most young entrep reneurs who would have wanted to make the advocacy of his claim a reality by opening businesses in emerging markets. Currently, the commonest forms of support that exist for various entrepreneurs come in the form of political and environmental support as against economic support (Thukral et al, 2008). For the example, the likelihood that an entrepreneur will face opposition in the opening of a new venture in an emerging market such as Brazil is highly unlikely. But except one is an indigenous or local entrepreneur, the possibility of receiving support from the government is almost zero. The reason this is so is that government sees
